Xbox One X Specifications Unveiled, Pre-Oreder Starting Soon From $499
Microsoft has this week revealed specifications for the new Xbox One X console which has been under development and formerly known by the codename “Project Scorpio.” Pre-orders for the Xbox One X will start in the next couple of days from $499 with a launch set for November 7th, 2017, just in time for the holiday season.
The Xbox One X is fitted with a 8 core CPU @ 2.3GHz CPU Six teraflop GPU @ 1,172 MHz offering 40 compute units with 12GB of GDDR5 RAM @ 6.8GHz w/ 326 GB/s bandwidth.
Storage options start from 1 TB and connections included on the console take the form of HDMI-in; HDMI-out; 1x front-facing USB 3.0 ; 2x rear-facing USB 3.0; IR receiver/blaster; SPDIF digital audio; Ethernet.
The Xbox One X is fitted with a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, and in the box, you can expect to receive an Xbox Wireless Controller, HDMI cable, Power cable, 1-month Xbox Game Pass trial and 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial. Check out the specifications compared to Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro console which was launched a few months back.
The powerful console has been created to provide gamers with 4K Ultra HD gaming at 60 Hz which at the moment costs you roughly $1200 when purchasing a PC capable of doing the same, comments the Tech Power Up website.
